HARD to believe that this June bank holiday will present the 17th Doonbeg International Jazz Festival.

This year’s line up has terrific rev, presenting nine bands from Germany, UK and Ireland “in a jam packed programme of 26 performances,” according to founder Philippa Siegrist of SKAZZ.

What’s new for 2016 is a musical fun day for tots to teens. Better still, as with every other gig through the years, events are free.

Opening out from Friday June 3 at the Igoe Inn at 9pm, the children’s day is Saturday June 4 with a roll out from 12.30pm to 4pm. There will be separate sessions to entertain various age groups.
