Martin OโShea played almost eight minutes of additional time in the second half which allowed Corkโs Katriona Mackey to pick up two points from play to secure a 0-12 to 0-10 win for the Leesiders.
Cork were ahead for most of the second half, before two Niamh Mulcahy scores brought the sides level and gave massive momentum to Limerick. It would have been easy to argue for a draw, but the added time denied John Tuohyโs side a third victory over Cork this season. Limerick will now look forwardย to their All-Ireland Championship opener away to Wexford on 18th June and indeed a further meeting with Cork in July.
