Hunt Museum hosts ‘Freedom’ by Irish Quilters

IMG_8003 croppedWONDERFUL textiles, embroidery, patchwork and stitching cover the gallery walls of The Hunt Museum with the second show there by Irish Quilters. The exhibition โ€˜Freedomโ€™ launched National Quilting Week Ireland in early July.

Specialist patchwork and quilting groups have organised exhibitions around the country, and responses to this yearโ€™s theme of โ€˜freedomโ€™ range from memories of childhood playtime to the restriction of movement for nationalities across continents.

Ours to peruse for free until September 4.
