TAKING place from Wednesday August 17-21, Terryglass Arts Festival in Co Tipperary offers an exciting programme of theatre, music performances, visual art experiences and hands-on creativity for all ages.

Headlining the five days, musical theatre star Rebecca Storm – best known as Mrs Johnston in the West End’s ‘Blood Brothers’ – will perform in Terryglass Church on Friday 19. Her concert ‘My Life in Music’ begins at 8pm and you can book on www.terryglassartsfestival.ie

Family events include more than 70 interactive workshops, street entertainment with magician and ventriloquist Jack Wise, and the Family Fun Day on Sunday 21.

On Thursday 18 the unique workshop programme will feature challenges for children, from woodturning to batik making, finger painting to découpage.

Two days later on Saturday 20, the sky over Terryglass Quay will fill with a fireworks spectacular at twilight and live music from the Blood Red Mountain Band. Widening out the evening’s appeal, Giggles the Clown will entertain the folks with his engaging artistry with balloons and on Sunday, there is a food and craft showcase to include copper and rushwork.
