Motorcyclist detected travelling at 218kmph in Limerick

garda motorcyclistA LIMERICK motorcyclist is to face dangerous driving charges after he was detected travelling at 218kmph on the motorway where a 3-year-old died recently

Gardai in Limerick detected the rider travelling at almost 100kmph over the legal speed limit on the M20 last Sunday afternoon.

He was arrested, charged with dangerous driving and released on bail pending a court appearance.

The incident is understood to have occurred on the slip road at the Patrickswell exit of the M20 near where a three-year-old child died last month in a horror crash.
