WATCH this for a gallery of Irish talent in University Concert Hallโ€™s Christmas pantomime: Karl Spain, Aoibin Garrihy, Tom Oโ€™Mahony, old faithfuls George McMahon (โ€˜Fair Cityโ€™), Richie Hayes and our own Leanne Moore.

Limerickโ€™s wattage is further represented with the sunshiny presence of ilovelimerickโ€™s Richard Lynch and our official Cultural Ambassador, actor/ director/ producer Myles Breen.

Thereโ€™s more. West End star John Brannoch returns to his hometown in the guise of The Beast in this quality co-production between the concert hall team and Robert C Kelly. Karl Harpur will direct as usual and the gifted Belinda Murphy takes charge of choreography.

โ€˜Beauty and The Beastโ€™ will open December 19, running into January 8 and this year is sponsored by SPAR. www.uch.ie for early booking.

Karl Spain? A current hottie thanks to โ€˜Operation Transformationโ€™ and stand up comedy tours. Aoibhin? She rocked as uppity cypher wife Sorcha to Ross Oโ€™Carroll-Kellyโ€™s โ€˜Breaking Dadโ€™. Her TV CV shines through โ€˜The Fallโ€™ and โ€˜Fair Cityโ€™.

A word to little people who want to do big things. Auditions for the childrenโ€™s chorus will take place on Tuesday October 18 at 5.30pm in UCH. This panto is looking for three teams and Belinda Murphy wants to meet children aged seven to 11 years who meet the height restriction of 4โ€™ 10โ€.

Contact Marie Healy of UCH on 061-213304 or [email protected] for the advance application form.
