THE latest creation by Moyross Community Drama, working with the GAFF resource centre, is โ€˜Five Housesโ€™. From GAFF board member Monica Spencer, we hear that โ€˜Five Housesโ€™ is โ€œa dramatic response to the crises of displacement and home that pervade our news every day. The distress of families and individuals at home and across the globe affects each one of usโ€.

Members of MCD have created solo pieces based on the themes of displacement, belonging, community, houses and home.

Building on these individual pieces of writing, the group has developed a new theatre piece with director Naomi Oโ€™Kelly leading.

โ€œCast members Carrie Barrett, Lucia Brunetti, Majella Conway, Sheila Fitzpatrick-Oโ€™Donnell, Ger Purcell and Leanne Oโ€™Donnell have created a unique response to one of the challenging issues facing humanity, that of finding a home and keeping itโ€.
