ON THE afternoon of Sunday October 30, 3pm, Specsavers Limerick will presents a Halloweโ€™en screening of the classic comedy-horror โ€˜Hocus Pocusโ€™.

This cinematic joy is at UCH, with all proceeds in aid of Our Ladyโ€™s Childrenโ€™s Hospital, Crumlin.

โ€œChildren โ€“ young and old โ€“ are welcome to come as their favourite ghoul, goblin, witch or wizard, to contribute and enjoy a fun filled family afternoon,โ€ the concert hall suggests encouragingly. โ€œStarring Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy [above], โ€˜Hocus Pocusโ€™ is the story of a trio of witches who return to gain revenge 300 years after they were sentenced to die in Salem.

โ€œTerrorising the townโ€™s trick-or-treaters on Halloween, riding on vacuum cleaners instead of broomsticks, the only thing that can stop them is a black cat, which is in fact a boy who was turned into feline form on the day of the witchesโ€™ original executionโ€.
