LIMERICK food lovers are being invited on a journey from the bridge to the bay by award winning chef Tom Flavin who aims to celebrate the delights of the Wild Atlantic Way between Limerick and Clew Bay.
Themed “From the Bridge to the Bay” , the Adare chef, based at the Limerick Strand Hotel wants to bring guests on a journey along the Wild Atlantic way for two weekends in February when he partners with Chamila Mananwatta, of the Mulranny Park Hotel.
The pair will join forces to bring you a taste of Mayo in Limerick on February 3 and 4 and then bring a taste of the best produce from Limerick to Mayo the following weekend.
Cookery demonstration by Tom or Chamila will showcase local produce before guests visit local producers and all ahead of a gourmet six-course dinner celebrating what each region has to offer.
Speaking to the Limerick Post, Tom Flavin said that “our regions are awash with some of the finest produce and celebrating that along the Wild Atlantic Way is a way to showcase it even more.
“We are very proud of what we have here and what we can literally bring to the table and partnering with Chamila makes for a unique event.”
