Sweet music in St Mary’s Cathedral

ST MARY’s Cathedral has a  double life, as place of worship for the Christian community and as concert hall. As with many of our churches in Limerick but The Companions of St Mary’s music programme run a regular free recital on Wednesday (mostly) lunchtimes.

It’s open to every person out there and timed for 1.15pm to c.2pm. Have lunch at the desk on your return.

St Mary’s organist Peter Barley is key to the series: “On Monday July 10 we are pleased to be hosting the Choir of the Sacred Heart Academy from Kentucky, U.S. They will be singing an eclectic mix of Kentucky folk music and sacred music. “

More anon on future dates.
