Supermac’s official opening this weekend

WITH its 35 new jobs, Limerick and Ireland’s newest Supermacโ€™s will throw open its doors this weekend, when former Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan officially cuts the tape at the Ballysimon Road restaurant.

During the construction process, 60 jobs were created and a further 35 jobs will be ongoing in the restaurant bringing to 300 the amount of people employed by the Supermacโ€™s and So Hotel group in the Limerick region, including the Castletroy Park Hotel.

Owners Pat and Una McDonagh will host a Family Funday and will be joined for the official opening celebrations by former Irish rugby legend and broadcaster, Alan Quinlan as well as Fair Cityโ€™s Ryan Andrews and Dave Oโ€™Sullivan who play Sean Cassidy and Decco Bishop on the hit RTร‰ soap.

Supermacโ€™s Managing Director Pat McDonagh said, โ€œWe are delighted to add Supermacโ€™s Ballysimon Road to the Supermacโ€™s family and, as with all our restaurants throughout the country, we strive to be strong members of the local community and so we welcome the local schools, businesses and sports clubs in particular to attend.โ€
