A MAN has been hospitalised this Monday afternoon following an incident at the River Shannon in Limerick city.
Just before 3pm, emergency services were alerted to an incident at Howley’s Quay where a man was threatening to enter the water.
Three units from Limerick City Fire and Rescue responded along with their rescue boat Fireswift and intervened.
The man, understood to be in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital Limerick by a Emergency Paramedics.
