IFI Screens Journeyโs End
R.C. Sherriffโs poignant drama of life and death in the trenches, first performed on stage starring a young Laurence Olivier in 1928, and filmed in 1930 by James Whale, is faithfully adapted by director Saul Dibb in this โrestrained production that retains the deep sadness of the play and wisely resists contemporary embellishments,โ says IFIโs David OโMahony.
Journeyโs End screens at Belltable this Monday March 5 at 8pm.
Anne Rynne

THIS weekโs special guest at The Acoustic Club is singer/ songwriter Anne Rynne.
A member of a legendary โsingingโ family, Anne is a sister of Christy Moore.
She was always very shy when asked to sing, so much so that for most of her life she didnโt really sing. Then one day her brother handed her a guitar saying …..โIโm not giving you this, Iโm loaning it to you for 50 years, on condition that you play it every dayโ.
Anne grasped this challenge with both hands and it has โchanged her lifeโ.
Since then with great help from her song pal, Doutsen Roelofs, Anne learned to play guitar and has learned a bunch of songs.
She says that the secret to learning the guitar is to pick it up every single day and play. Her brother Barry has been a great mentor and his advice has really helped her to get beyond her shyness and find her voice.
โRemember, Sis, that you are the messenger, that you need to remove yourself personally from the songโ โฆ.instantly Anne could feel a huge shift. Anne Rynne plays The Acoustic Club this Tuesday March 6 at Charlie Maloneโs Bar, Wolfe Tone Street
Wyvern Lingo
