BROADBAND access is the subject of a call from Sinn Féin MEP Liadh Ní Riada, who is urging communities across Limerick to register for the WiFi4EU scheme. The Ireland South MEP, who played a leading role in making the project a reality, was speaking as it was announced that the initiative is now open for registrations. The scheme will see free public Wi-Fi hotspots installed in communities across the EU. “It is a fantastic development for citizens throughout Europe and as it is being delivered on a first come first served basis I would urge as many Irish communities and businesses as possible to register for it,” she said.
