A MAN in his 20s has been arrested by gardai in connection with an alleged burglary at a Limerick city bookies.
Henry Street Gardai arrested the man at a bookmakers in Johnsgate Village at around 6am this Tuesday morning.
Once the alarm was raised, Gardai arrived at the scene and saw two men leaving the premises and following a short pursuit one of the males was arrested.
The man in his 20s is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
However, Gardai are appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed anything ย in the area between 5am and 6.15am to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
