Limerick’s All Ireland winning champions return to action

Limerick’s All Ireland winning heroes will return to their clubs this week as the Limerick club hurling championships resume.

Nearly all of John Kiely’s squad will line out for their clubs this weekend with a full round of fixtures. Last Friday saw Askeaton’s Willie O’Meara instrumental in his side’s progression to the Junior County Quarter Final.

The standout fixture sees a repeat of last years County Final between Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock in the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday evening. Both sides come into the game with 100% records. All fixtures down for decision have a 6.30pm throw in time.

On Friday evening there are three games up for decision in the SHC. Patrickswell face neighbours Ballybrown in Claughaun while promoted Murroe-Boher take on Cappamore. Elsewhere in the SHC, Knockainey battle Ahane in Cappamore.

On Saturday evening, Limerick captain Declan Hannon will lead his Adare side against Doon in Bruff while South Liberties face Monaleen in Claughaun.
