WORLD renowned Irish dancer, choreographer and actress Jean Butler was the special guest speaker at the recent Limerick Civic Trust Ladies Lunch 2018.

This fundraiser is organised annually to help support the work of the Civic Trust and this year’s event took place last Friday 5th at Pery Square in Limerick.

Limerick Civic Trust is an independent self funding non-profit making voluntary charity. It organises a programme of projects for the improvement of Limerick’s environment in conjunction with local authorities, state agencies and other interested parties.

Guests were looking forward to a delicious luncheon and a fascinating talk from this year’s guest speaker who is best known for her iconic role in Bill Whelan’s ‘Riverdance’.

Jean Butler is an executive and artistic director of Our Steps Foundation which strives to bring greater awareness, understanding and appreciation to Irish dance as an art form.
