OVER 400 ladies attended the hugely popular annual fundraiser in aid of The Children’s Ark and Crumlin Children’s Hospital last Sunday afternoon.

The event took place at Limerick Strand Hotel with guests enjoying a prosecco reception to the sounds of the Dolmen String Quartet on arrival. This was followed by afternoon tea in Shannon Suite and I was honoured to host the popular fundraiser which featured a fantastic Brown Thomas fashion show. It platformed all the must-have looks for the season ahead from brands exclusive to the store such as Sportmax by Max Mara, Rixo London, MSGM and Red Valentino. Models from the Holman-Lee Agency were styled by make up artists from Charlotte Tilbury and there was a huge array of prizes up for grabs, from door prizes to the raffle and lots of spot prizes.

There were moving speeches from guests speakers Dr Siobhan Gallagher, Consultant Paediatrician at The Children’s Ark, parent Jenny Clohessy and 16 year-old patient Mercy Oyewo who reminded everyone about the importance of the fundraiser. Well done to this year’s hard working committee and everyone who supported the event which has raised €17,000+ for the children’s charities.
