Circling falls in Cloud Study

-

FOLLOWING sell out performances and standing ovations at Galway International Arts Festival 2018, John Scottโ€™s โ€˜Cloud Studyโ€™ comes to Dance Limerick on Thursday December 6, 8pm.

One of Irelandโ€™s most prominent choreographers and a regular collaborator with Dance Limerick, Scottโ€™s โ€˜Cloud Studyโ€™ is โ€œpart dance, part dream, part theatre, part athletics,โ€ advises Jenny Traynor, manager at the Johnโ€™s Square hub. โ€œTwo compelling dancers, Mufutau Yusuf, an Irishman, born in Nigeria and Salma Ataya, a Palestinian Dabka dancer, attempt to run 1,000 kilometres in circles and lines through the space, chasing dreams, memories and home.โ€

So Scott, creator of โ€˜HYPERACTIVEโ€™ and the award winning, migration themed โ€˜Fall and Recoverโ€™,ย  brings to Limerick this wild explosive running dance: โ€œEach fall and run generates beautiful, frantic wild movements, lifts, wild shapes in the air.โ€
