FOLLOWING sell out performances and standing ovations at Galway International Arts Festival 2018, John Scottโs โCloud Studyโ comes to Dance Limerick on Thursday December 6, 8pm.
One of Irelandโs most prominent choreographers and a regular collaborator with Dance Limerick, Scottโs โCloud Studyโ is โpart dance, part dream, part theatre, part athletics,โ advises Jenny Traynor, manager at the Johnโs Square hub. โTwo compelling dancers, Mufutau Yusuf, an Irishman, born in Nigeria and Salma Ataya, a Palestinian Dabka dancer, attempt to run 1,000 kilometres in circles and lines through the space, chasing dreams, memories and home.โ
So Scott, creator of โHYPERACTIVEโ and the award winning, migration themed โFall and Recoverโ,ย brings to Limerick this wild explosive running dance: โEach fall and run generates beautiful, frantic wild movements, lifts, wild shapes in the air.โ
