MC NOTN wants nothing more than your votes this Saturday night on Ireland’s Got Talent

LIMERICK based beatbox artist MC NOTN (aka BenoitVibeS) has advanced to the Semi Finals on this Saturday’s edition of ‘Ireland’s Got Talent’.

‘Ireland’s Got Talent’ will broadcast on Virgin Media One this Saturday 6 starting at 7.30pm. Voting starts when all contestants are finished performing.

MC NOTN impressed the judges with his original beatboxing style, performed completely live with nothing pre-recorded. This Saturday the show goes live – anything can happen.

MC NOTN will be joined on Helix stage by a high energy dance troupe and he has some surprises in his routine for the audience and judges.

This Saturday 6, the Limerick based MC/Beatboxer needs the public vote to get our last remaining hometown contestant onto the finals on Sunday.

The time gap to vote for MC NOTN is very small and must be entered with a specific code that will be given on the night. Votes are charged at 60c per text.
Note that local bars Milk Market Costelloe’s and The Commercial will screen the semi-final this Saturday night from 7.20pm

MC NOTN is one of the characters created by the Limerick based artist BenoitVibeS originally from Belgium.
He showcased and impressed judges Denise Van Outen, Jason Byrne, Michelle Visage and Louis Walsh with some of his amazing beatbox skills

MC NOTN is from ‘Limerick Citaaaaay.’
He is entering IGT because it will make him cool and it is the “biggest talent show…on earth.”

The MC says that up until now he has, “done nothing, won nothing”. The most interesting thing about him is “nothing” and he “can do nothing for a significant amount of time. It’s a skill.”
He tells us that he was born closer to the ground and grew upwards. The best thing that happened him was nothing – which he says feels amazing and liberating.
Will the judges be impressed with MC NOTN and his beatbox skills? Or will it be a case of nothing to see here???!!!

BenoitVibeS, who created the character of MC NOTN, competed in last year’s as a mime artist and as part of his project called ‘Nothing’, he literally stood on the stage and did just that, nothing.

The producers of the programme were keen to get BenoitVibeS back for another show-stopping performance and he is now one show away from the final.

BenoitVibeS cites influences as varied as American jazz musician Bobby McFerrin, Marcel Marceau, Belgian singer Jacques Brel, Andy Kaufman and our own Blindboy BoatClub.
“I have been performing as a musician for years. Focusing on sounds, I make with my mouth.
This project varies to the visual language of the body and the body as subject, object, and medium, exploring the physical and mental limits.”
