Jamie Morrissey takes centre stage this Sunday at Unforgiven III as he defends his ISKA Irish Middleweight championship.
However, on the undercard, EireMuaySiam Thai Boxing Gymโs Faisal Azimi fights in a four-way fight with the winner to receive a monthโs free training in Thailand.
Ahead of the opportunity, Azimi is fully focused on the job at hand.
โSomething Iโm really looking forward to. Really good camp with all the boys putting in the hard work. Iโve had a very good nine-week training camp so just one week left. Cut a bit of weight and mind the focus.โ
โItโs my hardest test, Iโm ready, I canโt wait.โ
As a training partner to Azimi, Morrissey has first hand experience of the trip to Thailan with the Limerick fighter winning the national title shortly after his return from the camp.
He says the opportunity for Azimi is a golden one,
โWhat it brings is the most authentic Muay Thai camp in the world. Proper training so he will get the real experience.โ
โUnforgiven IIIโ takes place this Sunday in the Limerick Strand Hotel with doors open from 4pm.
