PLANNING permission has been granted for a ย new โ‚ฌ12 million Primary Care Centre medical facility for Newcastle West.

Welcoming the decision,ย Minister of State Patrick Oโ€™Donovanย said the centre will not only provide first-class primary care services to the West Limerick town and surrounding areas, but will also bring diagnostic services and treatments closer to the patient.

Minister Oโ€™Donovan said, โ€œThis building on the site of the former Pallas Foods chicken processing factor will not only house a GP clinic, but will also include HSE primary care services and diagnostic facilities including radiology and ultrasound.

“The new will accommodate Tusla and provide occupational therapy, dentistry, physiotherapy and ophthalmology services.โ€ There will also be a cafe and a pharmacy.
