Exhibitions opening in Limerick

A new show of paintings by Limerick Art Society’s Tom Greaney will launch at The People’s Museum of Limerick, Pery Square, tonight Thursday 28 at 7.30pm. Senator Maria Byrne will officiate.

A year ago visual artist Tomás O’Maoldomhaigh explored Southern Africa by way of the national parks of Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, visiting Johannesburg too. He safari’d in a number of these countries. Tomás’ exhibition at Istabraq Hall, City Hall called ‘Under African Skies’, “is a celebration of the nature and landscape of these marvellous wild places. There is a range of habitats and geographic locations from the swamps of the Okavango to the Namib desert” as subject matter.
