Arty party town and country…

Twas the Night before Christmas…

BRANAR presents a terrific show this weekend at Lime Tree Theatre for children aged five and more, bilingual in Irish and English – all levels.  A nosy little Elf tells us that “the town is preparing for a very special Christmas. Houses are being decorated, cards being written, presents being wrapped and stockings being hung.”

Inspired by the classic poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’, anticipate storytelling, live music and puppetry working to create a festive show with a good heart.

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ takes place in daylight hours so check www.limetreetheatre.ie

Children’s workshops on art

THE Three Muses is a new schools outreach project that brings together the individual identity and offer of The Hunt Museum, Limerick Museum and Limerick City Gallery of Art. The objective is “to capture the imagination and creativity of these young people, which can only be for the betterment of cultural life in Limerick.”

Adam Stoneman is co-ordinating The Three Muses: “Rather than museums and galleries constantly competing against each other for ‘audience share’ and ‘brand recognition’, this signals a more collaborative approach where schoolchildren can encounter collections side by side, fostering a sense of understanding and ownership of our shared cultural heritage.”

There is a small fee per pupil to cover workshop costs. Primary schools can book for activities taking place next year, emailing queries to bookings@huntmuseum.com
