SCHOOLS are closing due to Coronavirus.
The announcement was made today (March 12th) by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
It comes as news of the first Covid-19 death in Ireland.
Creches and large public gatherings are being closed and banned from 6pm this evening.

Public transport will also be effected as it runs restricted routes.
Varadkar is in Washington to meet President Trump later today.
There are currently 61 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland, 43 in the Republic and 18 in Northern Ireland.
