IT is not news on these pages that Limerick hip hop collective PX Music is one of the most positive and productive record labels in the country and now, tastemakers in the UK are getting on board.
The UK edition of international media site Vice.com has featured an extensive article on Limerick hip hop and the role of PX Music in that story.
Written by London based writer Colin Gannon (The Fader, The Guardian, ViceUK, Irish Times) the story ‘PX Music Is Ireland’s Most Exciting Rap Collective’ takes a long look at Limerick’s rap scene from The Rubberbandits to Rusangano Family’s Choice Music Prize win and the role PX Music in leading, “a subversive local scene unbound by history or conventions.”
