Doncaster Knights released a statement last week confirming they had agreed to let the prop end his contract with the club. Betts joined the club just last month, and had yet to feature for them.

In a statement on the club’s website, Head Coach Steve Boden said:

“It is disappointing to lose Ben for the upcoming season but we respect his decision and wish him every success for the future as he moves away from full time professional rugby.”
