IDA seek strategic development sites in Limerick

LIMERICK Fine Gael TD, Kieran Oโ€™Donnell has welcomed confirmation he has received directly from the IDA that they have initiated a search to identify further substantial strategic greenfield sites in the Mid-West region for economic and jobs development.

Deputy Oโ€™Donnell told the Limerick Post this week that the IDA is engaging engineers to carry out this search for sites suitable for large scaleย development including bio-pharmaceutical and life sciences projects.

It is understood that the IDAย are looking at identifyingย sites in the range of 50 to100 hectares.

โ€œI welcome this formal search by IDA Ireland to identify suitable substantial strategic greenfield sites in the Mid-West region around Limerick. IDA has confirmed to me that they are engaging engineers to carry out this sites search,โ€ he explained.
