Protobaby’s Twisted Words – new single and album on the way

Protobaby

LIMERICK band Protobaby will release their third album on September 4.
‘Twisted Words’ is the title track of the album and that single will be on general release from this Friday.
The single was mixed by award winning mixer/producer Cenzo Townsend (Everything Everything, Editors, U2, Snow Patrol, Elbow, Florence & the Machine). The track was mastered at Wav Mastering by Richard Dowling.

‘Twisted Words’ is the sound of Protobaby doing what they do best and this is one of their best tracks so far.
Making their own indie anthems from their post-punk / Joy Division / Editors influences, ‘Twisted Words’ is driven by Bryan Ronan’s pounding drums, Tony Monahan’s riffage and widescreen soundscapes and led by Colm McGuinness’ unique baritone.

In ten years recording and touring, Protobaby released two albums, The Spark (2012) and Cosmic Heart (2016). The band toured all over Ireland, UK, Netherlands and Poland. Numerous festival appearances, radio plays/appearances, built up a band of loyal followers and graced the cover of Hot Press Magazine.

‘Twisted Words’ the album is available to pre-order from Protobaby’s bandcamp page on very limited white vinyl. The single will be available on all streaming platforms from August 21.
