LIMERICK City and County Council is leading the way in innovation when it comes to consultation for the Limerick Development Plan with a new โVirtual Roomโ.
The โVirtual Room’ is an online consultation room that has been set up to allow members of the public to access a โvirtual consultationโ of the new Limerick Development Plan 2022-2028.
At a time when the โtraditionalโ drop-in consultation evenings are not an option due to restrictions imposed as a result of Covid-19, the โVirtual Roomโ allows the same experience but from your own home.
By navigating the room, members of the public can:
- Listen to the welcome note from Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Michael Collins and Limerick City and County Councilโs Chief Executive Dr Pat Daly
- Find our more information on what is a Development Plan
- Watch a series of videos explaining the UN Sustainability Goals and each of the Limerick Development Planโs eight themes.
Information on โhow to make a submissionโ and further links to the โIssues Paperโ and background papers are also found within the room.
The โVirtual Roomโ is in addition to the usual suite of channels available to the people of Limerick to aid in this initial public consultation process of the Limerick Development Plan.
These included in-person meetings, a webinar, which remains available for viewing, meetings in all the municipal districts and two in Merchantโs Quay and appointments.
To view the โVirtual Roomโ log on to Limerick.ie/Limerick-Development-Plan and click on the Virtual Room panel.
Members of the public can also make a submission through our online portal MyPoint also accessible via Limerick.ie/Limerick-Development-Plan.
The deadline for submissions for this phase of the Limerick Development Plan is Monday 12 October 2020. Submissions can be made via MyPoint | [email protected] | Forward/ Strategic Planning, Limerick City and County Council, Merchantโs Quay, Limerick V94 EH90.
