GARDAÍ have ruled out foul play in the death of a man whose body was discovered in Limerick City last weekend.
The man’s body was found at a dwelling on Cecil Street around 10am last Sunday morning.
Garda sources said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
The cause of death will be returned at an inquest conducted by the Limerick City Coroner’s Court following a post-mortem examination.
A Garda spokesman said Gardaí attended the property following a “sudden death”.
“The body of a man in his mid 30s was discovered in an apartment on Cecil Street, Limerick shortly after 10am. He was pronounced dead at the scene and removed to UHL mortuary where a post mortem will be conducted.
“The Coroner has been notified,” the spokesman added.
