A LIMERICK man is one of the finalists in a competition run by aย new fashion and lifestyle brand to become the public face of the Irish company.
The search for Irelandโs first BRLY (pronounced โburlyโ) male model saw hundreds of entries from across the country. Hopefuls were whittled down to a final list of ten to become the โFace of BRLYโ in 2021.
One of the finalists is Limerick man Ken Greaney (above), a 39-year-old, rugby-loving civil servant.
Ken and the nine other finalists are now looking for a public vote to be the face of Irelandโs new fashion and lifestyle brand for burly males.
A spokesman said that โBURLY want to make bigger, burlier guys feel confident, whatever their shape and size. The conceptย came about from their own struggle to find fashionable and functional menโsย clothing for bigger guys, something not widely available in the market currentlyโ.
The Irish start-up ย hopes to shift the traditionalย concept of healthy male bodies as athletic and toned, to a more accurate reflectionย of the shapeย of Irish men across the country. The company aims to do this throughย their own line of plus size clothing.
