LIMEIRCK manager John Kiely has gone for the tried and trusted as he names the same starting Limerick XV that began the semi-final for Sunday’s All-Ireland final.
The 26-man squad is the same one that travelled to Croke Park for the Galway clash.
Aaron Gillane, who was an injury concern is fit to start and is joined by Seamus Flanagan in the full-forward line.
The Feonagh man is the only new face from the side that began the Munster final against Waterford.
As such, Peter Casey is named among the replacements.
In total there are only two different starters to the team that began the match against Galway in 2018, but there are a number of positional switches.
Barry Nash and William O’Donoghue will be starting their first finals with Mike Casey out injured and Richie English only recently recovered from a torn ACL.
Dan Morrissey will start at full back instead of Casey as opposed to wing back with his position in the team being taken by Kyle Hayes.
Hayes began the 2018 decider at centre forward with Cian Lynch set to wear the No.11 jersey.
O’Donoghue fills in for Lynch at midfield.
This year, Kiely has given championship gametime to 21 different players.
Of those named in the 26, Barry Hennessy, Conor Boylan, Aaron Costello, Robbie Hanley, Ronan Connolly, and Richie English are the only ones yet to see gametime this Winter.
Limerick play Waterford in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final this Sunday in Croke Park at 3.30pm.
