WATCH: Sarah Lavin continues blistering start to season ahead of European Indoor Championships

Sarah Lavin qualified for the final of the 60m hurdles in Istanbul.

JUST a fortnight after breaking her personal best in the 60m hurdles, Emerald Athletics Club’s Sarah Lavin continued her fine early season form as she posted a time just 0.03 seconds outside of her PB at the Irish Life Health Elite Micro Meet at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena on Saturday.

In her first heat, Lavin was half a second ahead of Dundalk Athletic Club’s Kate O’Connor who posted a personal best. In their second heat, Lavin came in at 8.22, 0.02 seconds slower than her first run with O’Connor posting a second consecutive PB.

Earlier this month, Lavin’s performances in Ostrava where she posted a time of 8.18 was enough to see her qualify for the European Indoor Championships in Poland in March.

They are scheduled to take place from March 5-7.
