Over €11,000 of Suspected Drugs and Cash Seized in Limerick on April 24, 2021 – Man Arrested

Gardaí in Henry Street are investigating a fatal three-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on O’Curry Street, Limerick last night, Wednesday 4th March at approximately 9:40pm.
GARDAÍ have arrested a man and seized over €11,000 of suspected drugs and cash in Limerick on April 24, 2021.
 
As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Limerick, uniform and detective Gardaí from Roxboro Road Garda Station, assisted by the Armed Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a house in the John Carew Park area at around 7.30am
 
During the course of the search Gardaí seized €10,100 of suspected cannabis herb, €350 of suspected cocaine and €840 cash. Gardaí also seized a weighing scales, cling film and a mobile phone.
 
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and was detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He has since been released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
 
All of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
