Limerick Camogie team to face Wexford announced with injury and Covid-related absentees

THE Limerick Camogie team to play Wexford in the opening round of the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship has been announced.

Pat Ryan has picked a strong side who will be looking to avenge their Munster final defeat to Cork.

Limerick do have a few notable absentees through injuries of COVID-related hits.

Three changes have been made to the starting side that faced Cork, including first starts of the season for Nรฉamh Curtin, Laura Stack & Sinead McNamara.

The manager spoke of the appetite that the whole squad has to do something special with the remainder of the campaign.

โ€œA lot of those players that came on against Cork proved that theyโ€™re hungry.โ€

The championship opener is set to take place this Saturday July 17th in Newcastle West, with throw-in at 2:30pm.
