Larger crowd considered for Limerick’s All-Ireland semi-final confirms Taoiseach

TAOISEACH Micheal Martin has confirmed that larger attendances being permitted at next month’s All-Ireland semi-final are being considered

Limerick will take to the field in their All-Ireland semi-final on August 7 where they will meet one of Waterford, Dublin or Cork.

7,000 were in attendance for Limerick’s Munster final win over Tipperary in Pairc Ui Chaoimh and Taoiseach Micheal Martin confirmed that the attendance for the Croke Park fixtures will be significantly increased from that.

18,000 attended the Leinster final between Dublin and Kilkenny earlier this month with an Taoiseach saying,

“I think we can look forward to increasing that figure for the All-Ireland finals. We are looking at the semi-finals. Jack Chambers is engaging with the sporting organisations.

Limerick and Kilkenny await in the semi-finals with the quarter-finals to take place this weekend.

Tipperary take on Waterford with Dublin to face Cork. Limerick cannot face Tipp in the semi-finals while Kilkenny will avoid Dublin if they progress.
