THE Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Series continues this weekend in addition to the beginning of this season’s Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup.
On Saturday evening, the Vodafone Senior Women’s Interprovincial title will be decided as Munster lock horns with Leinster at Energia Park (KO 7.30pm). This game is being screened live on TG4.
Cashel welcome Shannon to the Premier County on Friday evening in the opening round of this season’s Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup. The winners will be away to Nenagh Ormond or Midleton, who meet in North Tipperary on Saturday.
The game of the day on Saturday sees holders Young Munster begin their defence of the trophy with a home tie against Cork Constitution, who have dominated this competition in recent seasons. The Lilywhites defeated the Limerick side at Musgrave Park in the 2017 and 2019 deciders but were defeated by Young Munster in last season’s quarter final. The winners will be rewarded with home advantage in the second round against UL Bohemian or Dolphin, who meet at 4G Arena.

Old Crescent are at home to Junior representatives Kilfeacle and the winners will be at home to Sunday’s Well or Highfield, who go head-to-head at Musgrave Park.
Bruff, who won the trophy in 2011, are at home to Clonmel and the winners will be rewarded with a home tie against UCC or Garryowen, who clash on Leeside.
In North Munster, there are four Transfield Cup ties down for decision.
Old Crescent take on St Mary’s at Rosbrien and the winners will be at home to Garryowen in the quarter finals.
In the quarter finals, St Senan’s welcome Abbeyfeale to County Clare and the winners will have a home semi final tie with Richmond or Shannon, who meet at Canal Bank.
Thomond entertain Newcastle West, and the winners will be rewarded with home advantage in the semi-finals against Old Crescent, St Mary’s, or Garryowen.
In South Munster, the semi-finals of both the County Cup and the O’Neill Cup take place on Sunday.
Mallow are at home to Clonakilty in the County Cup and the other tie sees Old Christians taking on Muskerry at Rathcooney.
In the O’Neill Cup, Ballincollig welcome Youghal to Tanner Park and Charleville are at home to Kinsale.
The group stages of the McElligott Cup conclude in Kerry as Killarney host Tralee and Chorca Dhuibhne welcome Killorglin to the West Kerry Gaeltacht.
In Waterford, the Ballyrandle Cup continues as Dungarvan will be looking to make the most of home advantage as they go in search of their first points against Waterpark, who recorded a maximum-point 29-5 home win over Waterford City.
Waterford City are also on zero points and they welcome Fermoy to Suirside.
The quarter finals of the Garryowen Cup conclude as Nenagh Ormond take on Fethard at New Ormond Park, with the winners meeting Clanwilliam in Tipperary Town.
