COVID Stability funding begins for some community, voluntary groups and social enterprises in Limerick

4 voluntary groups, charities and social enterprises in Limerick will receive €151,792 in financial support through the Covid-19 Stability Fund, Limerick City Fine Gael TD Kieran O’Donnell has said.

“I am delighted to see this further COVID-19 Stability Funding of €151,792 being allocated to 4 organisations in Limerick, who provide such valuable care and service to the people in their communities, particularly during the Covid pandemic.

“This funding will greatly help these community and voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises to continue to contribute and provide their services as we recover from Covid and I commend them for all the incredible work they do for families and their communities here in Limerick.

“The Covid-19 Stability Fund was established in May 2020 to provide immediate, short term cash flow to support community and voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises that are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of the pandemic who provide critical services to those most vulnerable in society. The funding is being provided by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administered through Pobal.

Among those, include to volunteer groups, for Autism Supporting Diversity, which provides medical assistance ,autism friendly social activities, and educational opportunities.

While the Cliona Foundation operates as providing financial assistance for families with children that suffer from life-limiting or chronic complex care.

“This further €2 million national investment announced today means that €48.5 million has now been provided in COVID-19 stability funding to hundreds of organisations since the onset of the Pandemic.
