ON the international front, Munsterโs Gavin Coombes is unavailable for selection ahead of Irelandโs Autumn Nations clash with the All Blacks while his Munster teammate RG Snyman begins rehab at the province.
Munster and Ireland back-row Gavin Coombes has been ruled out once again due to an undisclosed illness, Coombes was unavailable for selection last week ahead of Irelandโs Autumn Nations opener against Japan and now Coombes will be forced to sit out ahead of this weekโs fixture against the mighty All Blacks.
However, there is good news coming from the Ireland camp as Leinster centre Robbie Henshaw returns to team training following his recovery from a foot injury. Henshaw played in all three tests for Warren Gatlandโs Lions side when they travelled to South Africa, but is yet to play any rugby this season due to said injury.
Back in Munster, the club revealed that Coombesโ teammate RG Snyman has undergone surgery following a rupturing of his anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL, last month and is set begin his rehab.
The world cup winning lock suffered the same injury over a year ago in his debut for the province against Leinster. Despite Snymanโs harrowing start with Munster, both he and head coach Johann Van Graan appear positive and hopeful for the South African future with the club.
Other injury news coming out of Munster is the return of centre Rory Scannell, who has completed the return to play protocols. Playerโs continuing rehab for prior injuries are Jason Jenkins with a thigh injury, Roman Salanoa with a knee injury and Chris Farrell who is at the latter stages of an abdomen injury.
