MONAGEA will contest the decider on December 11 hoping to add provincial honours to the county title they won.
Goals from Catriona Davis were the difference as Monagea booked their place in the Munster Ladies Football Intermediate final over the weekend.
With a number of the side adding camogie honours to their football title last weekend, there was no hang up for the West side who led from start to front against Valley Rovers, claiming a 2-8 to 0-9 win.
Davis got Monagea off to the perfect start with a goal from their first attack. Their lead was five at the first waterbreak as they held a 1-3 to 0-1 advantage.
In Brinny, Valley pulled within four with a couple of frees before Davis found the net with her second goal that had Monagea 2-5 to 0-3 to the good at the half.
Monagea dominated much of the third quarter with their lead out to nine with just under twenty to play. But two on the trot from Valley had it at 2-8 to 0-7 at the final waterbreak.
Monagea wouldn’t score in the final quarter but stayed firm at the back to see off the challenge and move into the Munster final.
Monagea will now play Kerry Champions Castleisland in the Munster final on Saturday December 11.
