Regeneron Colleagues Bring Christmas Joy to Hundreds of Children in the Limerick Region

REGENERON Ireland employees recently held their eighth annual toy appeal, a longstanding holiday tradition of making Christmas special for local children. More than 380 employees donated a record-breaking €17,000 to help make the holidays special for 580 students at Our Lady of Lourdes National School (Rosbrien), St John’s Convent (Cathedral Place) and Scoil Naomh Iosef (Rathkeale).

The funds were used to purchase toys such as board games, dolls, race cars and more through a local toy store. 34 employee volunteers also helped organise the toy appeal including packaging, wrapping and delivering the gifts to the delighted students.

“Our annual Toy Appeal is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year. It’s an enormous effort, but Regeneron colleagues take great pride and pleasure in joining together to donate funds, package, wrap and deliver gifts to surprise and delight local children.

“This year, for our eighth consecutive toy appeal, employees donated funds to provide gifts for more than 580 students at Our Lady of Lourdes National School (Rosbrien), St John’s Convent (Cathedral Place) and Scoil Naomh Iosef (Rathkeale).

“It’s hard to say who had the biggest smiles, the children or Regeneron colleagues,” said Niall O’Leary, Senior Vice President and Site Head, Regeneron Ireland Industrial Operations and Product Supply.
