THE North Circular Road outfit were made to work for their win over the Cork outfit over the weekend.
Árdscoil Rís are back in the last four of the Dr Harty Cup after outlasting Midleton CBS in the quarter-finals of the competition over the weekend.
A goal from Askeaton’s Oisin O’Farrell proved crucial as his namesake Niall added 0-10 in the 1-14 to 0-12 win.
O’Farrell goal helped the Limerick side into a 1-4 to 0-4 lead at the waterbreak which was out to a six point lead at the break.
Midleton reduced the margin narrowly approaching the final break but Árdscoil showed their class in keeping their opponents at bay to secure the semi-final berth.

| The five time champions will meet Thurles CBS in the decider after they proved too strong for Cashel with a 3-16 to 0-13 win.
The game is a repeat of the 2010 final where Árdscoil claimed a maiden title after a three game saga that saw two draws between the sides.
Thurles will be looking to make it back to the final for the first time since 2015 while Árdscoil were last champions in 2018.
St Joseph’s Secondary School Tulla beat finalists in 2019 and 2020 CBC to move into their first ever semi-final. They await the winners of De La Salle Community College and Nenagh CBS in the last four as they meet this Wednesday.
