#BREAKING Man dies in Limerick City road accident

A 26-year-old man died after his motorbike collided with a wall and metal fence in the Southill area of Limerick City this afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to the mortuary in University Hospital Limerick (UHL) where a post-mortem examination will take place.

Shortly after 1pm, emergency services were dispatched to the scene in O’Malley Park which was subsequently cordoned off to allow for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí at Roxboro Road are investigating and are appealing for witnesses, particularly those with dash cam video footage, to contact them on 061 214340 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
