
CORK based musician Laura Duff is celebrating her critically acclaimed EP โHeavy Summerโ released in December with a hometown gig at The Record Room, Limerick this Friday night February 18.

Laura, winner of the IYMAโs Paul Clancy Songwriting Award in 2015 is studying music in UCC. After being awarded the Paul Clancy Songwriting Award, Laura played for the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, in Dublin Castle in late December of 2015, she shared the bill with Dublin indie-rockers Little Green Cars. Since then she has supported Dublin duo Hudson Taylor, Roisin O, Christof Van der Ven of Bearโs Den and esteemed British singer-songwriter, Lewis Watson.
Laura and her band released their debut single โUp to Youโ, which premiered on Nialler9 in November 2018.
Following a busy twelve months in 2021 getting positive press for her single releases such as โWaysideโ and โGood Formโ, Lauraโs cool slices of indie alt-pop culminated in a four track EP entitled โHeavy Summerโ. It was recorded and produced by Christian Best of Monique Studios, Midleton Co. Cork, and mastered by Richard Dowling of Wav Mastering, Limerick.
