Limerick entries sought for Digital Town Awards

APPLICATIONS from Limerick are being sought for this year’s .IE Digital Town Awards 2022, with a prize fund of €100,000 up for grabs.

The awards highlight the benefits of digital technology and honours the digital achievements of communities and citizens across Ireland, who have helped improve services and society.

National Director of .IE Digital Town Programme, Oonagh McCutcheon, said that the prizes would be divided into 14 different categories like Digital Business, Digital Local Hero and Digital Rising Star.

“The ambition of our awards is to recognise these people and projects that have created opportunities against the odds, as well as inspiring and motivating others to see how digital tools and technologies might benefit their towns and communities too.

“As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, we are excited to see how towns and communities have continued to embrace digital tools and are applying innovative digital-first thinking with transformative results for citizens, business, and local society;” she said.
