SONGWRITER, producer Don Mescall of this parish, picked up a BITA (British and Irish Trade Alliance) award last week for Lifetime Artistic Excellence Award in the company of Christy Dignam. Don produced and wrote many tracks on Dignam’s recent album ‘The Man Who Stayed Alive’. Don played at the event and received the award from Willie O’Dea TD.
Don stated.
“It was so lovely to play a few tunes live and be presented with the award by a fellow limerick man and the deputy Lord mayor of Dublin, Joe Costello.”
