Knockdown Vintage Club returns after two years

THE popular Limerick Vintage Run will finally be returning since its two year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual charity event will be taking place at the Knockdown Arms in Dromin, County Limerick, on Sunday March 27 at 1pm, with registrations for vintage cars and tractors to take place at 12pm.

There will be entertainment after the vintage run with Big Maggie and Billy providing entertainment. Raffles and auctions will also take place with many prizes to be won.

This year the charity will be giving its proceeds to the Irish Community Air Ambulance. The organisation was established in 2008 and is based in North Cork. They are committed to providing safe, effective and timely emergency pre hospital care to those seriously ill or injured in Ireland.

Because the Irish Community Air Ambulance doesn’t receive government funding, they rely on fundraising efforts.

“Knockdown Vintage Club chose this worthy cause as it is aware first hand of the lifesaving work carried out by members of the Irish Community Air Ambulance at local, regional and national level.

Locally some of the club’s family members have been beneficiaries of the swift response from this service so as a group we are both delighted and proud to support this very worthy cause,” a Knockdown Vintage Club spokesperson said.

Since the charity run was established in 2010, it has raised €43,000 to date. Donations can be made here: iDonate.ie | Support Knockdown Vintage Club – 2022
