Inaugural Michal Rejmer Memorial 10-mile road race taking place in May

THE inaugural Michal Rejmer Memorial 10-mile road race, hosted by Dooneen A.C. is being sponsored by Limerick solicitors, HOMS Assist.

The 10- Mile road race will take place on Sunday, May 15th at 11 am, starting at Limerick Racecourse, Greenmount Park, Patrickswell, Co.Limerick.

This is the first time in many years that a 10-mile road race is being held in Limerick. The race will start and finish at the stunning Limerick Racecourse and will take participants towards Raheen and through the scenic Patrickswell and Crecora countryside over a fast 10-mile loop.

The course, which will be chip-timed, has been accurately measured using a Jones counter and this race also has an Athletics Ireland permit.

This event is an ideal race for athletes who have done the Great Limerick Run and are preparing for the Dublin City Marathon and other Autumn races.

The first 500 finishers will receive a bespoke medal, while there will also be refreshments and sports massage/physio post-race.

A substantial prize fund of over €2,000 is included, with prizes for the top five male and female athletes, first male and female over 40, 50, 60 and 70. There will also be numerous spot prizes on the day.
