Time, date and venue confirmed for Limerick’s All-Ireland U20 final

THE teams meet in a repeat of the 2017 U21 final.

Semple Stadium will host the U20 All-Ireland final between Limerick and Kilkenny on May 22 it has been confirmed.

The game throws in at 1.30pm and will be live on TG4.

The decider will act as somewhat of a curtain raiser, with the Munster senior championship clash between Tipperary and Cork throwing in at 4pm.

However, if Cork fail to beat Waterford this weekend, that game will be a dead rubber.

These teams met at the same venue in the 2017 U21 final where Limerick claimed a second title in three years.

Six of that team started the senior All-Ireland final win the following year while ten in total have gone on to claim senior honours.

Kilkenny lie in second in the all-time U21/20 roll of honour with 12, however their most recent came in 2008. Limerick have won six titles at the grade, five since 2000.

Limerick booked their place in the national decider after seeing off Tipperary in the Munster final.

That followed wins over Clare, Cork and Waterford.

Kilkenny confirmed the final pairing on Monday, seeing off Wexford in the Leinster final.
